The individual venues are close to one another, so you can easily reach them all on foot. We recommend leaving your car behind and traveling to the festival by bus, train, or bike.

It’s only about 800 meters from the train station to the Schlossgarten—and you’ll be right in the middle of the festival action.

Directions by car via the A 5:
Take the A 5 exit “Rastatt Nord” onto the B 462 toward Rastatt
Turn left toward the city center and follow the B 3 / B 36 (Karlsruher Straße).

Take the A 5 exit “Rastatt Süd” onto the L67 toward Rastatt
Continue straight on the L67 (Kehler Straße) toward the city center
Follow the signs toward Zentrum / B3 / B36
Merge onto Karlsruher Straße (B3 / B36) and follow the road.

Directions by regional or S-Bahn train:
You can easily reach the festival grounds on foot in 15 minutes. Information on local and long-distance public transportation is available at www.kvv.de and www.bahn.de.

Getting there by bus:
Bus lines 222, 232, 235, 236, 239, and 241 take you directly from Rastatt train station to the city center—the central starting point of the festival. Alternatively, you can also use the VERA city bus lines: The RASTADTBUS takes you to many venues via the downtown line 239 and other routes.

Please note that the “Marktplatz” stop will be closed during the festival.

Starting this year, our website is also available as a web app for mobile devices.

A web app is not a traditional app that you download, but rather a website optimized specifically for smartphones. You can easily open it in your browser and, if you like, save it to your home screen just like an app—so you’ll always have the festival program at your fingertips without having to install anything.

If you use a wheelchair, we have reserved designated seats in the front rows for you at most shows. The accessibility of each venue is indicated in the program.

If you do not use a wheelchair, we appreciate your consideration and support.

There will be no shuttle bus from downtown to the evening venues this year.

It takes about 23 minutes to walk from downtown to the Mercedes venue.

It takes about 13 minutes to walk from downtown to the Bauhof venue.

The festival grounds are easily accessible on foot.

Your bike will be safely parked in the ADFC bike parking area. You’ll find it in the schoolyard of Hansjakob School on Engelstraße, right behind the Fruchthalle.
Please don’t just leave your bike anywhere at the performance venue or on the festival grounds where it might get in the way during the shows. Bicycles blocking emergency exits and escape routes must be removed by security.

It’s better to be greeted with a smile by the ADFC and park your bike safely for everyone.

Is it okay to take photos and videos?
Yes, photography and filming for personal use are permitted. Please be mindful of other visitors’ privacy rights.

When is the festival taking place?

The tête-à-tête daytime program will take place from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 7, free of charge and outdoors at various venues in Rastatt.

Start time:

Thursday, June 4: 2:00 p.m.
Friday, June 5: 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6: 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 7: 2:00 p.m.

The diverse daytime program is preceded by the ticketed opening event “TUSCH – Circus Night” on Wednesday, June 3, at 8:00 p.m. in the BadnerHalle.

The other evening events, for which admission is charged, will take place from Thursday, June 4, through Saturday, June 6.

Is there food available at the festival grounds?
We’ve got you covered when it comes to food and drinks: At the festival grounds, you’ll find a wide selection of food and beverage stands that invite you to relax and enjoy yourself.

In addition, the Rastatt Public Utilities drinking water truck will be available on the market square—here you can get fresh drinking water for free.

Where can you get information on site?

Our information booth on the market square (in front of the Sparkasse) is the central point of contact for all questions during the festival. The Friends of the Festival team will be happy to assist you there.

Or simply speak to our team of volunteers—you can recognize them by their red T-shirts.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll have perfect festival weather and that the sparrows will be flying high every day. However, due to weather conditions or other circumstances, there may be changes to the show times or locations listed in the daily program.

Take home a little memento of your tête-à-tête experience. By purchasing and wearing our solidarity button or festival wristband, you’re showing your support. It may only cost you a few coins—but for us, it adds up to a huge help.

You can pick up buttons, wristbands, and other great festival merchandise at the information booth on the market square as well as at our mobile information booths—the tête-à-tête cargo bikes.

Please help keep the festival clean and use the designated trash bins.

How do I find my way around the venue?
Don’t worry, you won’t get lost. Our signage and the map will help you find your way. Just keep your eyes open and go with the flow.

Where can I find the different venues?
Our venues are well-signposted—and also marked on the map for you. That way, you’re guaranteed not to miss a single act.

PARKING IN THE CITY CENTER
If you’re traveling by car, the following parking options are available during the festival: the festival grounds (free of charge) and the paid underground garages and parking structures “BadnerHalle,” “Sparkasse,” “Schlossgalerie,” and “Modepark Röther.”

At BadnerHalle, you can park your car for a special tête-à-tête rate of €3 per day.
This flat rate applies from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Parking spaces in the city center are limited, as we need some areas for equipment transport or access is blocked due to road closures. Please keep the remaining spaces free for people with limited mobility and use the other parking options listed above.

To avoid having your car towed, please park only in designated areas. This makes things much easier—for you and for us.

The festival program has been finalized.
As soon as the application period for artists for the next festival opens, we will post all the important information here.

Where can you find information about the program?

There is no printed program booklet this year. You can easily find all the latest program information online on our website, or you can download our web app. For those who prefer a printed program, a free program flyer is available at the Friends of the Festival’s information booth on the market square.

Please follow the on-site instructions and keep emergency exits and evacuation routes clear. If you have any questions or encounter any problems, please feel free to contact our team, who are easily recognizable by their tête-à-tête T-shirts.

Is there an admission fee for the festival?

The daytime program of tête-à-tête is free of charge and takes place outdoors—you can enjoy the performances on a whim.

For the evening events, there are select productions with limited seating. Tickets are required for these.

You can purchase them nationwide at all known Reservix ticket outlets as well as online on our website.

Can tickets also be purchased on-site?
Yes, during the festival, tickets are also available at the Friends of the Festival information booth on the market square. Tickets can still be purchased online as well.

Box Office
Starting one hour before the event begins, any remaining tickets will be sold at the box office directly at the respective venue.

You can find the locations of the restrooms on our map.

In addition, Rastatt has a program called “Netten Toilette.” Participating cafés and restaurants make their restrooms available free of charge and without any requirement to purchase food or drink.
These locations can be identified by the “00” sticker on the door.
They are available during the respective business hours, and some are wheelchair-accessible or equipped with changing tables.

Street Theater
High-quality and spectacular theater takes place not only at the state theaters in major cities, but also in the parks, squares, and hidden corners of Rastatt: street theater!

It reimagines public spaces in new ways and gives everyday locations a fresh glow. It is characterized by direct contact with the audience, spontaneity, and immediacy. As a result, the shows are, in most cases (with no stage at all), deliberately grounded!
